This morning, I am starting the day intentionally slow. My cup of coffee, my dog laying at my feet, a quiet house while my husband takes our youngest to school and then goes on a run. The stillness of the morning is lovely.

I have been a little absent online as I prepare for two grief education events. Grief education is one of my favorite things. I genuinely believe this type of education is how we shift our culture to one that is not so avoidant and prone to shame and fear around the topic of grief.

Next week I have the honor of leading the educational piece of a Christian women's retreat on "Companioning: Walking Alongside One Another in times of Grief." Then, a week and a half later, I will be presenting at a seminar for educators, caregivers, and parents about family and home-based strategies for supporting kids who are grieving and about grief informed care principles.

I am available to provide education around various grief topics. I've provided education, care and support at schools after an unexpected death, taught in a high school health class about what grief is, presented at a church leadership training about what it means to be grief informed in a congregation, been a guest speaker in a college classroom, and more. While I can provide education for churches, I also teach in organizations that are not faith based. I am available in-person and online.

Let me know if you have a need for grief education in whatever circles you are a part of!
